Facebook Shadow bans Adi Argov updates

Adi Argov, an Israeli psychotherapist and activist,

has been posting daily updates on human rights violations that Israel commits against the Palestinians.

She has been posting from her private Facebook account, mainly in Hebrew.

Adi reported that her posts gain minimal exposure due to Facebook’s shadowban.

Other activists back her claim, attempt to draw attention to her account and bypass the algorithm bias.

This comes at the hills of existing de-platforming Palestinian social media accounts, including Al Qastal news, among many others. The shadowban on Adi’s account is not a mistake or coincidence but part of an attempt to silence criticism of Israel.

The human rights violations that Israel commits usually don’t make it into mainstream news. In the digital age, attention is capital, which is being once again expropriated from the Palestinians and those who advocate for them
