Thank you for your service during the lockdown- #Gratitude- A Banner for the workers of the local convinience store

Gratitude to the workers became a motive in my creative work during the coronavirus lockdown. I admired their courage.

We left bottles of detergent and sanitizers to distribute to people on the streets because we thought disinfecting surfaces was adequate, but it turned out it wasn’t; coronavirus doesn’t transmit itself through surfaces. Everyone learned an important lesson about what essential work is. Essential workers are sanitary workers, cashiers, cleaners, and municipality workers.

People who are transparent on regular days, people whose jobs come with no prestige. These people helped us keep our everyday lives even during the pandemic, so it was vital for me to express my gratitude to them. They risked their health to come to work, and the fact that they had no choice doesn’t make it less than bravery.

I spent a lot of time at Charly’s place, painting during the lockdown.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Israel, also known as the coronavirus pandemic in Israel

is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2

The first case in Israel tested positive on 21 February 2020,

Sheba Medical Center laboratories detected a female citizen carrying COVID-19 after returning from quarantine on the Diamond Princess ship in Japan

As a result, the Israeli government instituted a 14-day home isolation rule for anyone who had

visited South Korea or Japan, and a ban was placed on non-residents and non-citizens who were in South Korea for 14 days before their arrival

Beginning on 11 March 2020

, Israel started to enforcing social distancing and other rules to limit the spread of infection.

The government first restricted Gatherings to no more than 100 people and later to no more than ten.

On 15 March, attendees were advised to keep a distance of 2 meters from one another.

On 19 MarchPrime, Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a national state of emergency, saying that existing restrictions would henceforth be legally enforceable and there would be a fine issued to those who violate them.

Israelis were not allowed to leave their homes unless necessary.

Essential services—including food stores, pharmacies,

and banks—would remain open.

The Israeli government further tightened the restrictions on the movement on 25 March and 1 April 2022, with everyone instructed to cover their noses and mouths outdoors

. As coronavirus diagnoses spiked in the city of Bnei Brak, reaching nearly 1,000 infected people at the beginning of April, the cabinet voted to declare the city a “restricted zone,” limiting entry and exit for one week coinciding with the Passover Seder on the night of 8 April, lawmakers ordered a 3-day travel ban and mandated that Israelis stay within 100 meters of their homes on the night of the holiday.
