Yifat Doron was sentenced to eight months in prison for slapping the prosecutor attorney at the trial of Palestinian activists Nariman and Ahad Tamimi.
Yifat Doron’s request for early release has been denied because
“she has not changed her ideology while in prison”.
Despite the fact that her record in cleared
& that she has displayed good behaviour during her incarceration
Yifat is a very humble person. She is not seeking the media’s attention
& not asking for praise and reward.
Yet I feel grateful for her because of what she did and I am proud of her.
In fact I think we all are. As Yontan Pollak noted,
the occupation of the Palestinian people is almost forgotten
& the discrimination against the Palestinian citizens of Israel
is not getting the media attention.

On March 21, 2018, Doron, was at the Ofer Military Court to

support the women of the Tamimi family
. At the end of Nariman’s hearing
she approached military prosecutor Lt. Col.
Issam Hamad, shouted “Who are you to judge her?” and slapped him.
She was immediately arrested and released only two days later.
Doron refused any legal representation
and did not sign any terms of release.
In May 2020 the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court sentenced her
to eight months in prison and a fine of NIS 3,000.
